Maria de la Teja brings over 40 years of medical and administrative experience to Peace Home Health Care Center Corp. A graduate of the University of Medical Science in Villa Clara, Cuba, she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and later specialized as a First Degree Specialist in Health Administration, along with a Diploma in Community Gerontology.

Her career spans clinical practice, medical direction, and senior-care program leadership in Cuba, followed by nearly two decades in the U.S. home health field. Since 2006, she has worked across coding, plan of care, orders, quality assurance, and agency management — including office manager and alternative administrator roles — with a consistent focus on patient and family satisfaction. She is also a Registered Medical Assistant.

Her lifelong dedication to compassionate, ethical care is the foundation on which Peace Home Health Care Center Corp was built.
